Development – Life Skills
Development of daily living and life skills focuses enhancing the abilities of the participants through training and development of the participants or their carers to increase their ability to live as autonomously.
Trainings are outcome orientated and can be given either separately or through group exercises. They aim to teach skills to manage life, communication and social interaction, problem solving and managing funding of supports.
We help our participants and/or their carers identify their goals along with a plan for reaching these goals and connect them with a network of support where possible. We can provide training and development across a range of life skills, including:
- Personal hygiene
- Nutrition
- Maintaining your home
- Communicating with service providers and support networks
- Transport and travel
